Deirdre is FANTASTIC! We went to her for my 5 yo’s slight speech impediment. Over the past few months, she not only worked with our child to make his speech more clear, but she also recommended him to a doctor who helped to release tongue. We had no idea he had a tongue tie! Deirdre is a joy to work with - so good with kids, and uses games throughout the sessions to retain their attention. My son love her and looks forward to the session every week. Highly recommend her!

Having Deidre and Kayla as my son's speech therapist was the best thing we have ever done for him. I wish I had used Deidre's services sooner rather than going through the city agencies. Deidre and Kayla are well advanced in their knowledge of speech delays and they know actually what resources and treatments to proceed with. I highly recommend them if you have a child that is showing signs of speech delay. The office is also very clean and friendly and the kids feel comfortable with both Deirdre and Kayla.

Deirdre is amazing !! I am so happy to finally find a certified Orofacial Myofunctional therapist in NYC and Westchester. In my previous experience I went to a RDH who classifies herself as a “Myofunctional therapist”. I had so much difficulty getting reimbursed by insurance. I was told it would be covered and in the end had to pay a lot of money back . With NYC Speech Language Pathology I was able to get reimbursed easily and quickly. They had the knowledge , dedication and instinctive ability to connect us with the right team of people. My child is sleeping better than ever and has more confidence in herself . I highly recommend you do your research when finding the right Myofunctional therapist. I have since found out they are not all certified and do not all have a master’s degree like Deirdre and her team.

My son has ASD as well as verbal apraxia. At four he was completely nonverbal, that is, until we found Deirdre. She assured me she would get him talking even when other professionals were not so confident. Within a few weeks my son had words and within months he was speaking in sentences. I could not recommend Deirdre highly enough. She really treats each kid like they are her own. The only downside is that my son progressed so well that we no longer need speech services and now we miss Deirdre. He still talks about her. For anyone with a child with any kind of speech/language delay, you could not put your child in better hands. Keep up the good work Deirdre. Well done.

My son has two speech therapists. One is through EI and the other is Deirdre. He gets super excited when I tell him that we are going to see Deirdre. Our son makes much more progress with her in one session than he does with his other therapists (ST, OT, PT). A few months ago, he didn’t have any words and now he is combining 2 words. Deirdre uses PROMPT therapy with him during play and he loves it. I highly recommend Deirdre and I am thrilled to have her working with my son.

"Super clean and calming office”
Super clean and calming office. Our speech therapist is Kayla and our son has been going for over a year. His speech has improved so much. He went from being always quiet or upset because we just couldn’t understand what he was saying to a much more vocal child that plays with his siblings and other kids as well. We are very happy with our therapist. She uses lots of play and tools that are age appropriate.
